Growing up, my mother taught me to love the outdoors. She showed me that every trail has a story and every quiet moment by the water is a gift. This photo, taken at Pedernales Falls State Park, captures a new chapter of that story.

Pedernales Falls State Park, located along the banks of the Pedernales River in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, is known for its wide expanses of smooth limestone, cascading water, and peaceful swimming areas tucked between rocky ledges. It is the perfect place to slow down and reconnect with the land.

Now it is my turn to pass down that same love for hiking, nature, and simple adventures to my children. Watching them sit by the river, soaking up the beauty of the world around them, reminds me that no matter how many years pass, nature still has a way of bringing us together and keeping our spirit of adventure alive.
